Don't care about the next guy? Lol... yes because that's what someone thinks when buying a vehicle.

Either way... there are obviously 2 schools of thoughts, neither are wrong, neither should be called foolish as they are both wrong and foolish in their own ways

lol.....I don't think I need you to run a spreadsheet to show me what it would cost......$5,000 plus my state tax of 0.0625% = $5,312.50....no financing

There's a lot I can do with that money.....including buying a truck now!

And boom goes the dynamite

Money spent on these trucks is all relative. Everyone's financial situation is different. I wouldn't spend over msrp but I certainly don't begrudge someone who does. The arguments about college, etc. are ridiculous. Nobody thinking about frugality is buying a Raptor. People spend $5,000 in different ways. My guess is that some of the people against paying $5,000 ADM think nothing of going on a luxury vacation for a week and spending $5,000 on something that is over at the end of the week. In my opinion, people shouldn't be so critical and/or judgmental about how others spend their money........

I just hope folks buying Raptors aren't pulling a second mortgage on their homes. There are plenty of celebs buying these trucks, I'm sure they can afford them. I worry about regular folks stretching their budgets too far........

Stay safe, its anarchy out there.

I would agree....."Something is not right." Over 6 months of "processing" and "unscheduled clean".....

^^ That is unreal. You need to get your Ford Regional rep involved...there should at least be a build date at his point. Can't your dealer do something?

I swore I would never pay over MSRP (out of principle). My first Raptor deal was $1K over invoice. After I would not remove the CF my dealer sold it to higher bidder and then found out later she could not get another. I got screwed. All week I've been searching for Raptors at MSRP and only found 2, not in my color or options. $3K to $30K ADM is what dealers are asking. I bit the bullet and paid $1500 ADM but my stress of looking is over!! Hopefully soon I'll be enjoying my Raptor.

We would not be paying over ADM and waiting so long if Ford wasn't shipping Raptors to China, supply is low, demand is high. It might be this way for a while so dig in......

So we all agree that we spend our money how we want. If we would all get back to not bragging about what we spent or didn't spend on something we might have more meaningful conversations about power, torque, wheels (not those ugly red ones on the wheel thread) and other mods!

That's just my 2¢...rant overall

One of the dealerships up here in Alaska finally called me back and the guy told me he had an allocation if I wanted to spec it out for a build. I asked how much they wanted.... "$10k over." I believe he actually sounded embarrassed as he said this over the phone. Anyway, I told him no thanks and that I bought one down in Oregon yesterday.

Apparently not. I've been more than insistent, and incessant, in my rabid requests for my Raptor. No results. Nada. Last I spoke to FORD, and they literally said, "You might consider cancelling your order and starting over.....". I told this to my dealer and his unmitigatedly irrelevant response was, "That's wild.....". Do I have grounds for being pissed.....??
