No change with mine. The stubby works like a champ!

Good to know yours works fine, being in the same area as me, however are you using Sirius or basic service (AM/FM)???? If some of you are still using Sirius then you will MAY NOT notice a change as it uses the bug on the roof, but once that is no longer in service, you resort back to basics full time with the standard antenna, right? So just checking that most are indeed not using Sirius and using full time basic service, as that is the only way to resolve "intermittent" issues.

I use both local and Sirius. The local reception is equivalent to the old antennae and to the wifes Ford Escape. I get Sirius in some places that I would not believe that I would have, some deep canyons, mountain passes, etc. However, I do not pick up the local stations in these places with either the stock antennae or the stubby. I used the stock antennae for about a month till I switched to the Craven.

Interesting. Coming from the mid-west, the reception I get in Vegas/Henderson sucks. I live in the southern most area of the valley and even Sirius is spotty at times. Near my house I get one, maybe two standard FM stations.... ugh. I hate Sirius so I think the best thing in my case is to cut an inch off the stock unit so it fits in the garage but still sits higher than the cab as an alert system LOL... thanks for all the input~!

Somehow my antenna wire was disconnected and, since it can't happen by itself, I assumed it was disconnected at the factory because my truck came with Sirius-lybadsatradio. Just an assumption and it's why I recommended to Falcon to check his antenna wire connection.

I seen that thread, good info. In my case I know it is the area as all my vehicles tend to have the same issue, and why I will stick with a shorter stock unit. However, i will check my truck per your thread when I get home... thanks!

I don't have any advice. Reception is hit and miss with both sizes of Stubby we offer for the F-150. Some people have no change at all, and obviously in some cases the radio suffers. We do take refunds within 30 days, no questions asked. So you can find out for yourself it it works for you. PM me if you have any other questions, and also put up a review on our page so folks know that you had some reception trouble with your Raptor.

If you rely on the radio or your entertainment everyday then you may want to stay stock, but the stub should be installed in a few seconds by hand. So you can always put the stock whip back on whenever you need to put function before form. All that said, we are running a big sale on them today;

Here is a link. The discount gets you an antenna with shipping for under $19. Our best offer to date.

Sale still good until Midnight....

I guess being in germany i RARELY use the radio. AFN (HORRIBLE HORRIBLE) is the only thing on the radio that is english. I have my 320GB HDD hooked up with everything I need. Sure do wish SIRIUS was available here :( My reception is kinda low when scanning for the local radio. Going to try your suggestion Dan in the morning.
