Yea I don't have te turn down on mine I just have if facing towards the outside of the truck and just slightly facing down and I haven't had any problems at all. As for the tail pipes I did what everyone else has done just cut them off right at the rear axle. They go up over the axle and start to
Come back down and that's where they cut them off at it works great it's up out of the way and you don't have to worry about smashing the tail pips haha

Hmm. I like the doubewall tips on the Magnaflow cat back but cutting them off sure sound like a cheaper solution...

I'm debating the turn down tip now that I've already ordered.

I don't want to start melting shit under there but then the one guy said it's not as loud with the tip.

Maybe I'll come up with some sort of heat shield for the exhaust hanger.

I'm sure I'll love it. Cheaper than a cat back exhaust and better sounding but I can turn it off when I don't want to listen to it. What's not to like?

Now I just need to figure out something with those stock tips that look like crap.

Get a turn down.

I had the muffler shot make a small one for me from some scrap stainless... It does not effect sound. That wouldn't make any sense...

Do you want gas and exhaust crap constantly spraying your frame? I don't.

I don't have a turndown on mine and I got up under there the other day after driving to check everything out and yeah it gets hot, but it's not unbearably hot under there. I touched the frame rail and it didn't burn me so I'm not too worried.

As for going through the floor with the wire. If you go this route, you have enough wire to put the switch pretty much anywhere you please. I had about 3-4' left over.

No turn down on mine and I even have the Low profile cutout. Its going right to the frame but you got to think if you are getting on it your moving there for the air is cooling stuff off down there. I do have the factory top cap that make it not go up but just straight out. Zero problem with eat on either raptor and they are the same.

Here is mine. I really need to make a better video.

OK so I called DMH and talked to a real friendly gentleman on the phone.

He is familiar with our Raptors and he drives a F150.

"Flowtech" is the y-pipe piece in the picture of the kit.

"Borla" has to do with Camaros and their special exhaust, so it has nothing to do wih our Raptors.

He said that shipping is free for me (I am in West Texas and he is in Ohio).

And he said you will want 12 ft of wire for the switch.

I also asked about the low-profile cutouts, and he said that as far far as sound there is VERY little difference between the lo-pro (oval) and the round cutout.

He also sells the lo-profile as a single (so you don't have to go through online places and buy a pair) and the low-pro is the same price as the round one.

The website doesn't have the low-pros listed, so you will have to call.

And through reading many pages on the DMHs, they don't seem to be very "tech saavy" so calling in your order would problemly make thing move faster. And from my experience and ones others have had, they are VERY helpful and customer service driven!

So $199 shipped to my door! Then, like $50 to have a "yellow painted building" muffler/tire shop weld it in and I can wire it up. So $250, Hells Yeah!

I am ordering mine tomorrow!:waytogo:

Where did you have it put on in San Angelo... I was gonna do mine but i think a shop would be better. I'm in Big Lake btw.

Looks like I am going to order the BadlanzHPE kit today. Since no one has conversed here in the recent months I figured it would be wise to see if anything has changed. Are the best options to install it where the resonator sits and save the resonator? Then run the wire through the floorboard, ground and switch at the steering column, and get power from Aux 4?
