What I was really surprised with was the lack of drone with it open at freeway speed. Its easy to have a normal conversation. I had my exhaust hacked off near the axle too and that changed the sound outside but I can't tell inside.

loving this, with it closed is it louder or same as stock?

Yes it is a little louder than stock if you remove the resonator. Spent this morning playing with it and cruised on 1-15 at all different speeds. There is a little drone now and it is a little louder in the cab. Not bad though. I don't think my wife will notice.

Haha i don't know about these other guys but I don't really care about gains I did it for the awesome sound :peace:

Don't care at all about gains. It's there to make the kid in me smile and it works great for that.

Why don't you get one and go dyno it Ruger?

I believe the cutout actually decreases HP a little bit when it's open but I don't care. It's freakin' awesome!

I think I may have inferred that from reading one of BigJ's posts about dynoing some other vehicle with a cutout that lost some hp and gained some torque. Hell I can't remember.
