To go E85 or Bigger Turbos or Both?

Damn, this gas station just opened and is literally could hundred yards away from my house. Makes more tempting to upgrade the HPFP and LPFP and get Goosetuned.

We are lucky and every gas station in south Florida has 93. This one is only $2.63 a gallon for 93. They must be trying to get customers because i usually fill up at shell and its around $3.05 - $3.15 a gallon.

Here in Maine you used to be able to get 93 everywhere, then Maine adopted California emission standards, and you could only get 91 here. Then, years later 93 started trickling back in. I am tuned for 93, and I use find93.com to find the 93 octane stations. And no some places in maine you can get 90 octane ethanol free, but it is VERY expensive. Great for chainsaws, weedwhackers, etc. My sled has a 91 ethanol free option, but I can only get 90 ethanol free! So I run the 91 ethanol free map with 93 with 10% ethanol.

good thing about E50 tune does not matter if you run 91 or 93 on balance of fuel. The 15% from E85 is 87 octane so 91 is just fine

I dont know of any E85 or E50 places in Maine, but I live pretty rural, there may be some down in Portland. There are some down by Boston though.

I mix my own E50 at the pump its very easy. I fill up 17 gallons of E85 and balance of 91 or 93 octane. But yes you need to have at least E85 around you.

There are E50 pumps but I have never seen one.

I ordered the CR performance manifolds as well as the turbos and should have everything installed in about two weeks.

What turbos did you get and what else are you doing besides the turbos and manifolds? I am also doing some CRP turbos and manifolds, they both will be delivered today.

I am doing the Stage 4 CRP turbos and their manifolds on a '19. In this round I'm also having a thermostat, throttle body and BOV installed. Earlier I had downpipes, turbo adapters, exhaust system, CAI, a catch can, and an intercooler put on. I'm thinking that this will be the last engine install, unless it turns out that I need a new fuel pump, as I can't modify it much more.

Just dropped it off in the shop. It'll take over a week since I'm sending back my turbos rather than ordering new ones (saved over $1500).

Sounds very similar to mine. Im doing the stage 4 turbos with manifolds. Along with Kooks downpipes, XDI HPFP, JMS boost a pump, SVC intercooler, 170 thermostat, and a RMB Motoworks stage 2 forged short block with pocket port heads. I have intake, turbo adapters, and Borla exhaust, . If the JMS Fuelmax wont keep up ill throw the DW400 in the tank.
