I run 100% M1 Methanol in my M5 with all SS lines and fittings, no issues with corrosion.

The level of corrosion in your systems has absolutely no bearing on how corrosive pure methanol.

Pure methanol is corrosive.

Im glad you have no issues. Long term it can be hard on aluminum intakes, brass fittings, etc.

I never had any issues either and I ran it for 8 years. 50/50 for a while, then 80/20.

I drive mine daily and run E50 blend which is E85 and 91 or 93 at pump. See chart below. You need to measure the E85 pump you using as it could be lower or higher then E85 my local pump happens to be exact 85% when I measure it. most gas is 10% ethanol at pump so Fuel 1 is 91 or 93 octane using 10% and Fuel 2 is E85. with @wgr73 cobb tune makes 500 rwhp and if you upgrade to HPFP he has already had one making 525 rwhp

I will be upgrading to a HPFP to run straight E85 not for the extra 25hp but for cheaper fill ups vs 91 16 gallons and yeah i take another 25 hp

hope this helps

Apologies, yes you are correct!

I only ran it when over 85% throttle and in Map 8 on my JB4 and would burn off quickly. The SS lines were lined on the interior.

Out of curiosity how many guys run **** setup on these trucks? It is amazing how it lowers AIT, more fuel and high octane.

I had a coolingmist progressive controller that started spraying 50% at 15 psi, ramping up to 100% at 25 psi, and I topped out around 27 psi.

Car was a beast. Ran an 11.6 @121 with a 1.6x 60' unprepped on street tires!!!!

I ordered the CR performance manifolds as well as the turbos and should have everything installed in about two weeks.

One of my claims to fame when I had my business was customer satisfaction. Believe it or not many times that was talking the customer OUT of what they thought they wanted and into that which would really make them happy.

Point is, most will be happier with a MODEST turbo upgrade that makes good power on pump gas than anything else. ****, Nitrous, biggest honkin Turbo (Street laggy) that rocks on race gas, etc.

All the other stuff can be fun for a while, but most prefer the least effort after the new wears off.

When I decide to add “more”, it will only go so far as turbos/manifolds/most simple fuel that mirrors OE operation and pump gas. I’ll leave all the bottle filling/flex fuel mixin tinkerin stuff to those who still enjoy it.

Will be interested to see what you think. How will the transmission hold up with this TQ increase?
