Hey @full-race geoff Did you ever determine if the Raptor R motor mounts will work on the 3.5 block?

Parts 1 and 2 in this diagram:

I believe this is the left-hand side part #: https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/part...bmodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(r=1877;e=730)

And this one is the right-hand mount: https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/part...bmodel=&extra1=&extra2=&filter=(r=1877;e=730)

They look very similar, if not identical to mine, but would like to see one and measure first. Just wondering if you had the opportunity to do so yet.
Sorry I did not do this yet (been focused on bronco raptor/ranger raptor 3.0 and 2.7 Ecoboost). Right now parts are piling up, and I need a solid 2 day wrench-fest to get things in a good place, hopefully early March

The ford system shows the part as fitting 2022-2025 f150 soo I’d be surprised if it doesn’t fit up
the Hybrid variant. Might be worth looking through part numbers for differences.
That’s a great point. The hybrid variant might have some differences to the standard 3.5L worth exploring

Sadly my contacts that helped Full-Race with previous gen 3.5 projects left Ford during a mass re-structuring. As you’re probably aware they and many others left as part of a corporate mindset move away from ICE’s toward electrification. A huge amount of 3.5 eb knowledge and experience gone

That's all just a fancy way of saying, you only need it if you're losing head gaskets. The 3.5 does have a pretty large bore and bore spacing so it's not a bad idea if you're shooting for big power (800+).
Agreed that 800+hp warrants consideration of cylinder support. However ethanol and soft ignition can go a long way at safe power production. My only pushback to the CSS is the stock sleeve can still crack, it just won’t shatter (detonation typically). it may be a safer bet than a ductile iron sleeve or it might also create headaches with sleeves moving.

Long way of saying 700hp is the reliable / safe ceiling I want to work toward and the stock open sleeve block should be fine with that.

I have MPT doing the tuning on my set up and I intend to have him attempt to find the tables in the tune file to shut this function off completely.
Please let me know if he can do it? I still think a dummy solenoid may be necessary
