I was just trying to give a view as to what the truck would look like with a lift! i believe the most of people who are changing out upper and lower arms tire rods shocks etc. are either a.) wheeling pretty damn hard or b.) have the money to blow . there is nothing wrong with this they way you are wanting to go about modifying your truck it is just different then what has been seen as a standard among the bunch. If you have wheeled hard with previous trucks lifted and are flexing maybe thats the difference? this truck was designed for high speed desert terrain which you know i don't need to explain. if your wheeling with a lot of flex then maybe lifting isn't a bad idea. heck I'm just offering my .02
This is an interesting thread, just to see the different opinions

its a bad idea because it would be ugly as can be, less functional as yous have to go much slower offroad as to not roll it thanks to higher COG, and you would be shunned on raptor forums for throwing a lift kit on a raptor.

Wow... there's just no reaching some with sound, rational logic. Let her go boys! Shunned is sure hung on 4 inches... You realize that you can run up 3.0's just short of top perch and not stress the CV joints at all? "Big" just swing your 4 inches on over to the Texas Raptor Run, and show all tha shunners who's boss in your badass lifted street queen... but be sure to BYO Tow Truck haha! Trey has been itching to add an F Class :driver:

Makes sense, if there's a lift that drops the diff to keep the cv angles stock.

The real question is why do you need 37's or larger ?
Hell, I noticed a performance decrease going from stock tires to 35" general red letters...
Mid perch and fiberglass gets you clearance for 37's anyways, and benefits from the lower cg.

The lift seems like a solution in search of a problem if you aren't going bigger than 37's.

To the OP: I don't like you!
You like to start an argument and then manipulate it without ever adding, but always tearing down the arguments given.
Once realizing that you may be on the wrong track you proclaim that you have been on the correct site all the time and just been leading everyone else to come to the correct conclusion.
I have met you many times in many places ... I know you!

To your question: lifting adds adverse lever actions and stressful angular motions.

P.S. To the young punk picking on 6.2: back off, that's my job :)

The more I read the responses I'm beginning to some of you don't fully understand what the difference is between the two.
