Hi everyone

Was driving my buggy onto my trailer and I must've been driving a bit faster than normal.
The trailer unhitched from the tow ball, went skyward and then landed on my tail gate.

What options do I have?

Repair?
Stock replacement?
Aftermarket replacement?

Thanks

Put a better latch on the trailer. Unsafe at any speed

Yes, thanks.
Has a latch.
Looks like the notch is a bit worn out maybe.
I also now tether the trailer to the tow point on the car with a chain.
So if it does unhitch, it's still tethered.

You know what's particularly painful? This same thing happened to me a year ago on my Nissan patrol. Wasn't as lucky then - damage-wise.

But back to the point.

Tail gate options?

Just get a new tailgate off eBay or online somewhere. The good thing is that most fleet vehicles are white. Plenty of take-off tailgates around. Especially without the appliqué.

Just think this is the sort of stuff on the road. And a hi way tractor is harassed daily. Would you really want to follow this
