I found an '18 yesterday at Philpott Ford in a small town in Nederland, Tx and am working to seal the deal with them.

They have a local shop called Lumberton Off-Road pricing my build; and in it, I included the upgrade to the Factory Fox 3.0's. My question is: Does it make that much of a difference from the 2018 3.0 standard Fox OEM's? I do want a smoother ride, and I realize I'm not helping by going to the 20" Vorsteiner VR-601's, so I figured the Factory's will allow me to offset that discomfort some on Houston's terrible roads and at the ranch in South Texas as well.

Does anyone know of a good video explaining how to set the DSC settings to best utilize this upgrade on pothole filled Houston roads during the week, towing my Polaris to the South Texas brush country(desert) during hunting season, then playing around there with the truck as well? I need justification to prove it to the WIFE that they are worth every penny!!!

the fox factory 3.0s make a big big difference. The preload that you have to add to the stock setup with collars to lift the front enough stiffen the suspension too much for my liking.

The 3.0s make things cush and give you way more control options by dialing settings. I personally think they are very much worth the coin.

Check out texas motorworx in dallas before you start stroking checks. They built their business on raptors and dont work on much else but raptors. I brought my truck to the fellas from new orleans because they are the best this side of AZ/Cali.

I guess it depends on what you are buying or having done.

as far as non-manufacturer independents, LGE-CTS motorsports seems to know their stuff.

Beyond that, you'd kind of have to specify full build or bolt-ons.

What are your thoughts on SVC? Bolt kit, fenders and bumpers.

rpg makes the bolt kit.

and being that I'm running the following SVC parts: Baja Front Bumper, Intercooler, Bypass Rack, Bump Stop kit, and full Mid-Travel front suspension kit....

I'd say I'm a fan. The svc guys truly believe in customer service and their parts are top notch. If you're close to their shop, I'd have them do the work.

WillieFlo, give us a call and we can go over all of this, we educate all of our customers with the mods we install and we have a 1000 acre offroad park (on the way from Dallas to Houston) for our private use when ever we want. So we can show, tell and teach during the learning process. I cant stress enough, that unless the shop is well versed in Pre-Runners, Raptors, or anything else to do with high speed off road, you will spend a bunch of money and leave a lot to be desired. We can work with you for pick up/delivery for Texas customers. Our biggest market is actually Houston, so we have traveled down 45 numerous times.
