Either way, a 3 ton Raptor absolutely needs upgraded brakes. The oem brakes on my Gen 1, with 35's, were identical to all the standard F150 models... on 31's. Wilwood got smart and saw the market for a reasonably priced, bolt on, demonstrably better setup; that fits under 17" wheels. The only thing they didn't do, was a side by side comparison with the oem brakes showing stopping distance & heat soak numbers. Yep, I totally agree they're pretty, but wtf? Everything from laundry detergent to tampon manufacturers to rec tal creams do comparisons with the competition. Why not front brakes?
dang I didn’t realize they fit under 17s..

HM made a custom caliper bracket with a 6 piston Wilwood caliper for the rear. Contact Kevin,

Best bang for your buck. Way better than Alcons IMHO.
Great info, thanks. I'm a little hesitant to call 'cause I'm gonna want to rip out the SVC mid travel on my truck and go with the HM setup. The steering radius is so bad, I have to call ahead and make an appointment to do a U-turn.

Your not the only one with that turning radius issue. I’ve now heard from a total of 5 other SVC owners that hate it as well. Two of those are getting the HM set up shortly.

Second this; just
Got it installed and it’s awesome! I’m most surprised that I can brake hard enough to chirp the front wheels from 90mph to a stop without abs kicking in.

They run better warmed up for certain but I couldn’t be happier. Looks awesome too!

The clearance on 17’s will freak you out just fyi. It’s a tight fit. They are beastly.
