I have searched and very surprised no one here has asked about any updates or information about the Ford Performance Procal upgrade do the 2024+ Raptor. I carry a rooftop camper and my mpg shows 11 miles. I saw a video where a guy installed this on his Bronco Raptor and his miles range picked up. So I just installed this on my 2023 Bronco Raptor. No test as of yet, but prior to the gauge showed 246 miles. And after the install, it now shows 324 miles. Seems too good to be true but let’s see.
If anyone has asked Ford for any updates on the 2024+ Procal or if anyone has actually tried this on their 2024+ Raptor, please do share. Is the 2023 3.5L different from the 2024 3.5L?

Good grief that does sound too good to be true! Hope it is!!!!!

Anyone know when Ford Performance will release the PROCAL for the 2024 F150 Raptor?

If you hand calculate mileage over a long period of time, say a whole year, (which is the only true way to compare) I think you'll find 0% improvement after it's flashed to a new tune. It'll probably be worse.

Ford simply doesn't leave giant amounts of MPG on the table. They fight for every tenth to get to the next whole number.

Don't forget this is a peformance tune. Supposed to make more power, right? You HAVE to burn more fuel to make more power.

When I reload my goose tune after getting my truck back from the dealer it says I have 770 mile range.
Ford is trying to optimize for two masters. Mileage and emissions. It's possible that throwing emissions out the window for power also increases mileage.

That would make sense. I’ve only ever had one vehicle gain mileage after a tune. My old focus st.

Who is selling this tune? They aren't throwing out emissions.

The only way you are saving fuel on an aftermarket tune is during WOT. Stock tunes are super rich compared to what a custom tune ends up at. Ford will dump 10:1 or more at WOT where a custom tune will be in the 12:1 range.

For the 99% of time you aren't WOT though- there are no MPG gains to be had.

I can see an aftermarket tune gaining MPG in something like a Focus ST that is driven in anger most of the time. They don't have a ton of power so you can run them WOT a lot. I drove one and I could floor it getting on the highway onramp, and keep it pinned for quite a while. You aren't doing that in something with 700+ HP- the amount of time you can spend with it at WOT is so small.
