Total combined weight max is 12000 pounds... If your throwing gear in to the truck then add 600 pounds the tongue weight when calculating how much cargo capacity the truck has.. Add the weight of all the gear plus passangers to come up with cargo weight and don't exceede this capacity... Now for towing the truck is lets just say 6000 pounds... the trailer is 5000 pounds and you put 400 pounds of gear in to the trailer. You your wife and 2 kids weigh 400 pounds.. This would put your cargo weight at 1000 pounds tongue weight 600 pounds plus people of 400 pounds... You basically are almost max on cargo weight. But still have room to add a few things to the trailer as it stands at this point:
Cargo weight is 1000 pounds
Truck weight 6000 pounds
Trailer weight 5400 pounds
Current GCWR 5400 plus 6000 plus 400 in people so your at 11800 pounds.....

Maxed her towing capacity out

We usually use my friend's f250 to tow his 29' Sea Vee but didn't have access to it last night.. So we decided to give it a shot with the Raptor. Checked all the specs beforehand and the boat and trailer comes in at around 7.5k weighted. Not sure what the tongue weight was but we were pretty confident it was wasn't more than about 800 lbs.. As you can see in the pictures she was squatting pretty bad, only had about an inch between the bumpstops and rear axel. Luckily the ramp was only 10 min away and didn't require us to go over 40mph. Power wise, the truck did awesome, was really expecting a lot more drama trying to get all that up to speed. Even had no problem popping it out of the water at the end of the night.

Overall, was really impressed, but probably won't be doing it again unless I really need to haha

power wise they put the 6.2 in the superduty so you would not be lacking.
