Ive blown over this thread for so long but im glad i finally opened it and read it. I didnt realize how fast and cheap this can be. I totally want to get a top perch mod done! From past experiences what would everyone recommend, dealer or autoshop?

Plus, has anyone put 37's on with a top perch? Is that even possible without trimming?

I noticed that Bojangles has done this on his rig but I wanted to see if anyone else has too..

Jangles, would you mind sharing your experience with this?

When i moved mine to the middle perch, i really wanted to go all the way but was hesitant based on all the negative feedback i was reading from the SVT Engineers. I really haven't noticed any severe/detrimental changes with mine except for the fact that the truck looks way sicker without the nose droop.

Anyone try TC UCA?

Guys have but you'll rub a bit on full turns with a litle compression. Also depends on your wheel offset.

Anyone try TC UCA?

Treypal runs them and they seem to do the job.

Question regarding stiffness of going to the top perch. I know there has been a ton of discussion around how or why it gets so stiff when going to the top perch, but has anyone thought that it might be due to the sway bar connectors still being the same length but yet having the suspension height increase by about 2 inches?

I felt a slight increase in stiffness (That's what she said) when i went to the middle perch, no complaints though. But i recently removed my sway bar and the front again feels like it did when i was on the bottom perch Nice and plush and cushy, and nose dips when braking.

So I'm wondering if anyone on here who has the top perch and no sway bar can comment about the ride quality and if it resembles the stock ride quality.

With that being said, if the sway bar connects could be part of the issue, couldn't a vendor or someone then make longer sway bar connectors, based on the top perch mod and the increase in ride height, which should still retain the ride quality as if it was on the bottom perch? And if you are going to make new sway bar connecting rods, might as well make them quick release. :)

I removed my sway bar a few months before going to the top perch so I didn't have that stiffness but I will say that when I removed it and drive it in the stock perch you did have a little more body roll in the turns but as soon as I went to the top perch the body roll almost went completely away it feels so much better being on the top you don't get that nose dive when braking and it looks bad ass! You can notice a difference when driving off road it is a little more stiff but I prefer it that way and Fir the on road ride quality like I said the only thing I noticed was the nose dive or the lack there of haha it's still smooth and still comfortable so I would recommend going to the top and removing the sway bar!

I went top and it was definately harsh/squirrely over expansion joint and cracks. Once I removed the swaybar, it felt a whole hell of a lot better!

raising the perch from bottom to mid or top compresses the spring. Thats the reason for the stiffer front.

Sway bars will change exactly that. Sway. If you disconnect the sways you will get more freedom in the front end (the ends aren't tied down if you disconnect them).

The jeep guys have quick disconnect end links to give them more flex when they need it. But primarily for rock crawling.

Well if it compresses the spring, how are we getting an increase in ride height? Just asking, not trying to start a fight :mwah1:, because my ride feels like stock now without the sway and on middle perch.

I think there are a couple factors, and i really think one of them is the sway bar connectors.
