Which setting rode the best? I personally think top perch looks the best but i want the best ride as well...and not damage anything

I just went from top to middle and without a doubt, middle is where it's at.

Top perch is pretty harsh and seems to make the rear suspension work harder. Steering wheel was also harder to turn than it is on middle so I think there's some binding going on at all time. I know there's some binding when the suspension is extended a bit. On top perch, when you crank the wheel to lock, it feels like something is gooofed up.

Overall, top looked nice but it pretty much sucked for driving around on the street. I'm much happier on middle.

Yeah thats cv joint binding.
And it doesnt work the rear more just the front because everything is under more stress. Some people run fine on top but snapping your cv/iwe/hub is very easy if you go a bit too harsh off the road

I'm far from a suspension expert so this is just my description of what I noticed but aside from the front end harshness (which I found significant, not to mention topping out the suspension frequently even on the street), I felt a noticeable diference in how the rear handled bumps. If felt like a dead thud when I hit something.

Now that I'm back to mid perch, the rear seems to soak things up much better. Having driven the same routes top vs. mid, there's no doubt in my mind that the rear end stays planted better on mid.

Having said all that, I'd take top over stock all day long. Stock is very mushy. But, I'd take mid over top any day and twice on Sunday.

One of these days I'll hit the lottery and do some coil overs...

My theory on the rear is that it does get worked somewhat more or at least differently. As you lift the front of the truck past level (which happens on top perch), a fair amount of weight would be distributed back towards the rear end. Plus the caster angle would change a bit...
