you are raising the perch on the shock. The spring compressing when you raise the perch an inch or two is just a bonus. The spring has no where else to go, its just that now, it has an inch less room than it used to before you raised the perch.

Fox Mod

I went to top perch, had old school alignment guy and rides virtually the same, slightly rougher over speed bumps, but mod is awesome, front is 1/2" higher in front than rear.

Hello Guys I am debating of which setting to go with, I either want to to do mid or top setting. But I do not want to run in any mechanical issues in doing so, I have heard some people have cv boot failures by performing the top perch setting. Is this true or most of you guys? and no issues with mid perch setting?

Depends on year (in my opinion) 2010-11 has not had many issues with top perch. 2012 seems to be having issues with top perch..

For anyone who has done this on thier own. Was there any tool you had to use to get the upper control arm, tie-rod ends, and sway bar link out that would possibly break or or cause damage to the rubber boots? Or do they come out easily after removing the nuts?

A good wack with a hammer worked great on stockers and RPG products..

I personally find that the increased spring load on the top perch makes the truck want to bounce up a little more in the rough stuff. It feels like as soon as the front tires lose contact with the ground you get a harsher un-compression of the spring that comes into play (if that makes any sense). I've run my truck on all three settings. I say if you're happy on the mid-perch, leave it there. Just my opinion...

Which setting rode the best? I personally think top perch looks the best but i want the best ride as well...and not damage anything
