There isn't a thing subjective about my statement, they did not choose the platform that was best for the truck, a boosted v8 would have been best. And I've driven a factory fresh Eco, I hated it.

Lol you are absolutely missing the point, which is understandable considering how easily you're stumped. All things being equal in two different motors, fuel delivery, materials, types of forced induction, but one has one quarter more displacement, that motor is the better platform and that is not subjective and it's not personal opinion. I do like the sound of a v8, and boosted 4s and 6s, and v10/12s. But personally, and this is actually subjective, I'd prefer a v8 in an American truck.

In this case, "best" is highly subjective. Having owned all three of the major recent Ford engine platforms, the Ecoboost is far and away my favorite. It just does everything better.



That said, from my perspective, there's not a thing in the world wrong with either the 5.0 or 6.2.

I can easily comprehend logical stuff. However, it's the illogical stuff that stumps me. Sorry.

I currently have a 3.5, 3.7, 6.2, 5.0, 5.2 and a 6.7

Here is my list of engines in the order I prefer overall

5.2
6.2
5.0
6.7
3.5
3.7

With all the engines Ford has its obvious they know how to make awesome engines. If you think the 3.5 in the GT and Raptor is because it's the best engine Ford can make and not because of them wanting to push the EB brand, you might need to lay off the Kool Aid

I'm obviously a Ford guy and I love their products but the EB line of engines is lacking

That being said, I don't think I'd like the 5.2 in a truck and I'd probably really like the 3.5 in a SHO or an Exploder. Different engines for different applications. The only engine that does a decent job at car and truck applications is the 5.0 and it's not the best at either.

If you guys do a timed race "off-road" on a course of RTLW choosing, then I am putting $1,000 down on RLTW's GEN1 against your freshly new stock GEN2. Racing anywhere else especially on pavement is pointless, who cares. If you wanted to race on pavement, then buy a different vehicle like a mustang GT350R.....oh wait that is a V8.
