Deavers give the rear more travel, limit straps protect shocks from over extension.

A lot of folks upgrade to Deavers. I've upgraded to the ICON RXT leafs. I do not see folks installing limiting straps though, including myself. Are you saying that whenever you change out the factory leafs, it's best to install limit straps?
Does it matter if you have stock fox vs. any aftermarket 3.0's? Doesn't the strap limit down travel? This is in regards to GEN1 raptors if that makes a difference?

So why is there a limit ******** the front also? The fox DSC shocks are vulnerable to the same issue? I don't see anyone doing this unless they go long travel.

Foutz Motorsports built the truck. This is a race truck, it gets beat on more than you & I would beat on our Raptors. Sure they limit down travel by maybe an inch. Without them, your shock would limit your travel, eventually wearing them out. There are a lot of factors that go into suspension geometry & limit strap requirements. And it doesnt what brand of shock you go with, King, Icon, Fox, if you are overextending a shock, they will eventually fail.

Rear spare tire mount brace?

Maybe, but probably not for the factory spare tire mount. Here is a screen capture from Mike Levine's walkthrough video. On the race truck picture, the bolts and bracket? are directly above the bump stop. You can see that the one in Levine's video has nothing there.

Yeah I was thinking more for the bed mount and even the cage...

T'was a joke, dude. Now, go pet that 6.2. Lol

Right. Nothing "sounds" as "good" as that ol' 6.2. Better? You won't have to worry about hearing how bad this engine sounds in person. You won't get close enough to hear it. ;)

I sure hope not, that thing is hideous. It'll be a bit before the aftermarket support is there for one of them to keep up with mine off-road anyways.

LOL! "Hideous" is certainly a subjective term that's a definite "eye (or ear, as it were) of the beholder" type thing. However, what's not subjective is hp/tq versus hp/tq. I'll gladly overlook the "hideous" sound (which can be dampened if it's too loud) to get that delicious hp/tq (which is far harder to come by).

It's a love it or hate it appearance, a lot of people on both sides, personally I don't think it does the gen 2 any justice. HP/TQ, sure it's nice, but I'd rather have it from a v8, not paying that kind of money for a v6 in an American truck (I'm not against a turbo v6, just not in an American truck). Either way I already outrun my suspension with the power I have and my suspension is way better than what the gen 2 comes with.

OK. Now I'm intrigued. Lol...

So. You're not against a V6 turbo truck, generally speaking. Cool. I can dig it. However, you ARE against a V6 turbo truck if it's made in good ol' 'Murica??? :ROFLJest:

Did I miss something? Have the damned **** managed to somehow infiltrate our economic system by way of Ecoboost vehicles? Did the Koreans hack into our most heavily guarded National secrets by utilizing a series of sophisticated software viruses that manifest themselves in the PCMs which orchestrate the workings of the Ecoboosts? Can it be that what we've previously enjoyed as turbo whistle is actually deviously conceived mind controlling hypnotic media brought about by the Rooskies???

Because quite frankly, outside of one or all of those exact scenarios, that logic simply doesn't compute. Of course, that's just me. Give me maximum horsepower, torque, and fuel economy, and I don't care if the engine is a 2 cylinder job that's powered by the tears of orphaned kittens.

You just went off on the most stupid diatribe on why I don't want a v6 lol. No, simply put I just don't feel like a v6 belongs in a fullsize American truck, it's taboo to me.
