I got into high performance cars right as car forums took off 15 years ago, and this happens on every one. New model is announced, guys with the old model get salty about changes. Then it finally hits the market, people actually drive it, and then form legit opinions.
My current offroad truck is a sequential turbo I6 diesel that I've had for ten years and puts 600/1200 to the wheels, and I've got a twin turbo V8 E63 AMG as well. V6's were never my thing but I'll give it a chance, because why not. You can get weight off the front end, move the center of mass rearward, they're more efficient and the thing will likely make more power than you could suspend the truck to handle. Any engine configuration can be made to sound good (the V6 GT-R), and as BMW and Audi have shown, you can make even a V8 TT sound bad (M5, RS7). Just my opinion.
I'm glad to join the forum and I'll deal the old vs new drama to get the news and information, because I'm genuinely excited for my 802A Avalanche Crew to arrive.
