Hehe yeah I hear yah! I have a 15 1LE with kooks headers and mild cam. GT350, new ZL1 and Grand Sport are all relatively close in price. Really leaning toward the Grand Sport. The ZO6 is just mean but I like the corners more than just 1/4m so the grand sport is more balanced plus I prefer manual transmission for pure fun and to get the most out of the Z06 and keep it tame requires the auto...ZL1 might be the same in that regard...

Yep, you're going to get better numbers out of the automatic, whether it's a Z51 Stingray, Grand Sport, Z06, or Camaro ZL1. But if you like to row the gears.....well, there are more important metrics for you to consider. For ultimate value, I would go for a modestly equipped Grand Sport.

Like others have said the suckers will dry up soon. Do you think Ford is going to stop building raptors?!? Nope!

Look at how many GT350's are available now and that IS a limited production vehicle.

I didn't realize the GT350s were easy to find now but that is a good point.
But we still have many members here with summer orders and no build date yet. Something is not right. I think it has to do with that video posted a while back that Ford announced they would start shipping the Raptors to China. I think that is the wild card here.

Complete opposite of what the dealer I went through told me. Said Ford is making as many Raptors as they get orders for. Explained that there isn't any "allocations," but pretty much all of the Raptors are being made to order and are sold before they're even made.

I dropped that I had xplan and zplan and was thinking about a Lariat under invoice, but would consider a Raptor at if there wasn't a markup as they'd still be making money off me compared to losing out if I used z plan to get a F150. Ended up ordering my Raptor MSRP.

Definitely not the case with my dealer--they had 7 allocations, all filled almost instantly. You may call them up and request to order a Raptor; the response will be, "We have no further allocations for the 2017 model year. Order banks should be open for 2018 this coming July, and you are welcome to get on the dealership list if you would like....".

Yeah!!

Hmmm let me see we can make this raptor that everyone loves and we can't make enough of them........well hey guys let's stop production!!!!!! Bahahahahhahahahhahahahahhahahaha

How many Raptors is China set to receive? How many have they shipped overseas?

This is not a sports car and the more Raptors they sell the more they make. Especially in an economy that really isn't buying new vehicles at this time, winter etc.

Ford has it down to two months on some reported builds?

Crank em out people!!!!

I would agree....."Something is not right." Over 6 months of "processing" and "unscheduled clean".....

You were lied to by the dealer.

To what end? He ordered me a truck at MSRP

Who knows why, but it certainly isn't true. Talking shit for all I know.

What is your order number? How large is the dealer?

You likely have a very long wait.....

I went for a test drive at Mossy Ford in San Diego about a month ago; they had three in stock and they assured me 15k over was the steal of a lifetime (initial ADM of 25k). Told me I had to hurry, the trucks weren't lasting more than a few hours on the lot. A couple weeks later I got a voicemail asking me to drop by and make a "reasonable" offer...checked their online inventory and all three were still there.

I don't see much wind in the sails of the truly insane dealer markups - I imagine ADMs of 3-5K or so will persist into summer and start to disappear as total production numbers clarify. I wouldn't be surprised if Ford is planning another round of allocations for 2017.5.
