During the plan/scamdemic, my Porsche dealer offered me more than I paid for my year old, 12k mile Cayenne GTS. Sticker when I bought it, in December 2020, was 127k. I paid 117k. They offered $120k. That was a very tough offer to refuse. Trouble was, I was not buy a beater for however long until prices came back down to earth, and there was nothing comparable to replace it with. I actually went to an Acura dealer, having owned many over the years. The Cayenne is my wife's vehicle. She always liked the MDX. She test drove it, said she wanted it. I was about to buy it and then go trade the Porsche in for the 120. That's when the salesman/thief said they are getting 5k over sticker. Uh for an Acura? Not from me they weren't. I told him thanks for wasting my time and we walked.
Today that Cayenne has about 18k miles on it, a newer version has hit the market, and it's worth maybe 80k on trade. A 40k hit in two years. Oh, well. It still drives like the day it was new, has been completely trouble free.
