It is basic science. Turbos work by taking energy out of the exhaust stream and use it to compress intake air. Less exhaust energy = less exciting / neutered sound. Just ask Ferrari enthusiasts what they think of the new V8 turbo's sound as compared to the N/A V8s.

v8 turbos still sound good. they just dont sound like an intense NA cammed straight pipe v8. it sounds like a turbo v8, which still sounds good.

v6 all cammed out, on straight pipes sounds like shit lol. its less bad with turbas, but still sounds like shit.

just so we are clear. its not an opinion the ttv6 sounds like a bag of smashed ******** being ran through one of those air dryers at the car wash.

thats such a fact, ford put a ******* speaker on the inside of the truck, just to make sure you wouldnt hear what it really sounds like.

That's just pure malarky. Every time I hear a 2nd gen Raptor from outside the truck, I get a 10" long blue-vein throbber that I could use to drive a 10-penny nail into a railroad tie. It's the most glorious sound in the history of sounds. The fact that the engineers piped in fake engine noise is an affront to my sensibilities and a crime against humanity; they should be tried at the International Criminal Court at The Hague for participating in such blasphemy.

Sounds terrible. Please provide irrefutable, objective proof that it doesn't.

I have posted the science behind different engine sounds on multiple occasions, my friend. The science shows that a V6 is effectively a white noise machine. You know this. And so does Ford. That is precisely why they piped in the fake noise, which sounds so much better than the real noise. It's all science based.

Bunch of science deniers in here. I bet some of you Jennies think there are more than two genders.

that actually does sound like shit. but for nearly 1000hp, i could live with it while i made a better exhaust.

No, it's a fact that MANY (perhaps even MOST) people don't particularly like the exhaust note of a V6; but just because an opinion is widely held does not make it fact (I'll reference you to the number of people who like Justin Bieber's music as an illustration of that). The long and short of it is that preference for one thing over another is still opinion (even if it is widely-held opinion), and therefore cannot be either proven or disproven.

So, while you can scientifically prove why a V8 sounds different than a V6, or why many (or even most) humans prefer the sound of a V8 over a V6, but you cannot prove ANYthing in regard to MY preferences (nor can I in regard to YOUR preferences). A statement could certainly be made that a particular preference falls outside of the norm, but again, that's not proof that a given preference (or opinion) is wrong.

No. It is a fact that a V6 engine produces white NOISE.

You guys really need to quit denying science.
