They get my vote for rthe BEST customer service (other than Morrie at Bak). The lady said they HAD completely redesigned the entire part and they had been FLYING off the shelves. NO QUESTIONS - she is sending me an entirely new KIT - not even asking for the old one back. I had ordered originally (3 weeks ago) from DEE ZEE directly. She said they had had NO COMPLAINTS on the new version but had had TONS of complaints on the old ones. Super nice folks to deal with.

And your right about deezee customer service. After reading your comment i called them. Luckily for me, i bought my ez directly from deezee and still had my original email confirmation of my order. I spoke to the gal in c.s., forwarded her the email from octover 2011, and sure enough....they are sending me a whole new kit..for free! Sweet.
Got an email back. They told me to return it to the vendor I bought it from and order a new one.
So I'm guessing you cant reuse the strut with the new style sockets. Guess I'll see if I can get amazon to return the old one.
Anyone get their "new" kit yet?
