Superior STL009 cooler flow control valve and cooler seals kit, B&M transmission pan, and knock-off B&M flexible dipstick assembly ordered in preparation for possible lead frame replacement.

The truck is starting to exhibit the wrench light and limp mode issues. I took it into the Ford dealer for the programming recall and they recommended driving it to see if the issue returns after the programming, but if it returns that the lead frame would need replaced. I'm wondering if it would just be best to replace it and get it done. Only issue is the dealer quoted about 1600 dollars for the lead frame repair, and the cost on the lead frame, filter, and connector for myself is only about 230 bucks. I might see if they will just do it with my supplied parts, as I'm currently short on time to work on it myself.

Well, they will do it with supplied parts, but want like 1200 dollars to do it. I'll just wait until I've got a free day to tackle it at that point. It's only a few hours of work.

Went and picked the truck up from the dealer after they did the reprogram. I decided to just do it myself. Will be installing the Superior STL009 cooler flow control valve and cooler seals kit, OEM lead frame and connector end, OEM transmission filter and seal, B&M transmission pan and OEM pan gasket, knock-off B&M flexible dipstick assembly, and using Mercon LV to refill. I'll update after that's all done.

I got the same pan fluid change is simple it’s definitely a HD build I know they had some quality issues so check it first before you install mine was fine . The climbing under to check the level is a pain just get some gloves and a wrench don’t burn yourself like I did trying without it. I wouldn’t waist my money on the dipstick mod .

As far as the pan not fitting ? I had no problem except one or two bolts needed a different tool to install and weren’t able to torque to spec just a guess. The 7 qt is more like 3 or 4
