Spark plugs - I never said that they went bad due to the condensate. You are right that the turbo engine chews them up quickly as you can see spark plug gap open up from .030 to .045 over just 30k miles. This engine is particularly sensitive to gap, so frequent spark plug changes are necessary.

You will never fire a Spark plug at .45 gap at 20 pounds of boost WOT. With a stock EB ignition system . Sounds like from earlier post the HO EB is coming gapped at .28 . Not sure what Stock boost is on raptor 17? 18? psi. As the gap grows with mileage you will feel it first at WOT. If the condensation that can't be seen as you say , people wouldnt be able to run water/**** injection systems and as you know there are plenty of EB's running snow injection systems. Like i said Moron .

Very good point I haven't seen in any other threads about this.

You are correct about the water/**** systems. They work well on the engine be a they are a controlled, metered system that appropriately enhances performance. However, the Ford intercooler builds up pooled condensate during drive cycle and under hard acceleration, that slug of condensate is forced through the engine. This is what causes misfire, and hydrolock.

Spark gap.... funny, ford spec was .045 on the gap for ecoboost until the government investigated them for engine misfire shutter complaints that led to damage/death. Ford magically closed gap to .030 in 2013, and still was not the full solution... but it helped.

"Slug of condensate"... buhahaha!!!

Ignorance... pure ignorance.

If anyone can find a slug of condensate I'll pay them $5.

Go watch the crap blow out of your intercooler while it is in operation. You folks will regret your naivety soon. The intercooler is a real issue for ford.

Sas77, your have zero experience with a 2nd gen ECB yet you're the self-professed expert.

Not one person on here has noticed condensation with their Gen 2 Raptor. The poor soul who weepholed his truck at your advisement noticed nothing.

Bless your heart bro... dish the hate.

I noticed no water but i noticed my issue is gone! Truck runs stronger than ever.
