HELL Arizona 6.2L There is more to life
You needed the weep hole to solve your problem. As long as you had that, new sp534 plugs gapped .030, and changed out every 30k you would have had a trouble free experience.

You are a Moron ,were you born with an extra chromosome? I think you need to drill a weep hole in your fOcking forehead. Do you even understand what you are saying? Condensation causes ground ******** plug to wear 7 thousanths in 12,000 miles??? Really ? I live in Arizona under 20% humidity ,I have pulled the charge pipe off my intercooler many times it is bone dry. Doubt gen 2 have a condensation problem with active shutters and such. Fast Plug wear is due to high boost and running it hard . My 06 viper required plug changes every 15,000 miles that was in the required maint schedule.

You are correct in that you will never see fluid left in the intercooler as the engine is not running. It only builds condensate when it's running and it is passed through (causing your misfires). You need the weep hole because you never know when the fluid is building up.

Smh... dude drilled a hole in his cooler and no fluid drained as in your YouTube video... wonder why?... cause you're fully crap man.

I weep for your ignorance... pun intended.

Do your research on the ecoboost misfire problem. The condensate blows out spark on acceleration. There are also some out there who had enough condensate buildup to where it hydrolocked the engine. The weep hole is to evacuate that so it doesn't ever blow out spark. You would be amazed at how little fluid is needed to cause the misfire. The 2011-2016 crowd has already worked through these problems - learn from them.

Spark plugs - I never said that they went bad due to the condensate. You are right that the turbo engine chews them up quickly as you can see spark plug gap open up from .030 to .045 over just 30k miles. This engine is particularly sensitive to gap, so frequent spark plug changes are necessary.

Sas77, your have zero experience with a 2nd gen ECB yet you're the self-professed expert.

Not one person on here has noticed condensation with their Gen 2 Raptor. The poor soul who weepholed his truck at your advisement noticed nothing.

Bless your heart bro... dish the hate.

Yes, these are condensate issues. The reason they don't find any when opening it up is that it already got passed through spark. The guy here that drilled his said he had improvement. He needs to drive it more, run it through its paces and the system will clean itself out. Once he does that, I guarantee the problem is solved.

I have to say, I have read about this issue and seen videos on the older ecoboost. Seems to help those living in extreme hot and humid environments. I just can't believe Ford hasn't solved the problem or come up with a solution. Something is wrong with that picture.

Y'all must be talking about the rainforest... I live in the heart of the south and 100*F /100% humidity days are frequent and I have towed cars and crap under load with my 13/14 ecoboosts and NEVER a problem.

It's amazing how many people get swayed by certain crap... kinda like Russia, Russia, Russia.

Original poster here with an update.

I let the tank run to almost empty of my 89 octane last night, then filled it with Costco Premium (93). Still testing, but the issue seems to have pretty much gone away. I haven't driven it in the almost 100 degree weather we will be seeing today, but I'll update once I do. I said pretty much gone away. I think I felt a little hesitation, but not nearly like it was. 1,250 miles and climbing.

Hmmmmm....
