None of these issues noted with Fox 3.0's and same Stage 3 setup with +1 Nationals. They seem ideal offroad (and onroad) just the way RPG pre-dialed them in, but I have nothing else to compare other than stock shock performance. Does ICON pre-dial optimal settings for scab vs screw so that there is a good baseline to start from?

Which could be because the RPG system and FOX 3.0 were designed to work together..

Well BigJ I can definitely tell you that the ICON truck has been running without bumps or frame support so my guess is that's correct or no bump at all since they are designed to have an internal bump stage. The big question here now is, are the two compatible?
Yeah that sure seems to be the question. Based on Greg's comments and pics, it would appear they are not compatible.

Greg, would you agree or is that not a fair statement at this point?

PS: You sure you want to run the bumps that low? Seems like if the ICON's already have a bump, if clearances allow (as in you're not going to hit the bump stop mounting tubes before the ICON's bumps kick in) you might just want to pull the Fox bump stops off all together.

I'm curious to see if the icon's really do make aftermarket bump stops obsolete.
That'd be a hell of a selling point for them...

Yeah I agree!

But then I also wonder... are the shock mounts strong enough? If the rear kicking was strong enough to bend the frame, seems like it'd tear right through a shock mount (when the system binds because the ICON's stop moving?).

And if this is a true issue to think about don't forget you are also having to trim a small portion of the rear mounts already for the install. Granted it is a small portion it is material nonetheless.

Right now it is too soon to say..

I will say that with the additional dampening the ICON shocks provide, I think the bump stop kit might be overkill.
It will take some high speed track time to say for sure..

This is why I am bringing this up, so we can figure it out..

Only one way to find out, and McManus is the man for the job, lol !

WSI and I talked about it when we were installing ICON shocks.. After SNOBall 500, he is going to come up with a gusset kit to strengthen the upper shock mount.

It is not necessary for normal Raptor owners!

The ONLY thing is when you relieve the metal for the rear shocks is to make smooth radius and NOT notches. This will prevent stress cracks and fractures to form..
