Glad you are liking them so far Greg! They are definitely a huge improvement over stock and it's hard to put in words the night and day difference these shocks have compared to stock, but I think you hit the nail on the head!

Just like Jackemuphigh21 said, the coilovers can easily be adjusted to the desired height, whether it be "mid perch" or "top perch," with the use of the ICON spanner wrench. We have a ton of the spanner wrenches in stock for those looking to adjust their ride height. We also have the new style lower spring cups Greg was referring to when he mentioned they will now work with RCV Axles if anyone is looking to switch out to the newer style.

This is ONLY on my truck with mid perch settings.. Everyone else that has these shocks can adjust them on the truck without the above steps.

Greg

I'm missing something. I get that when the adjustment ring is screwed all the way up, so that the truck sits at mid perch, the ring is blocked by the shock bucket. Are you saying your shock buckets are different, so the rings won't be blocked on other trucks no mater were they are set. Or are you just saying that with the ring at the standard factory location it's clear of the bucket. In which case we'd need to follow your procedure to adjust the shocks?

Thanks by the way, great write up!

When you run the ring all the way up, it is slightly blocked by bucket.. Not a great picture, but you can see where the set screw and adjustment ring is up in shock bucket.

Normally, the ring is totally exposed and accessible for adjustment.

Greg,

Glad the settings helped! Like you said, my front end has a bit more pre-load, so the "S" setting is perfect for me on the street. I can see where you'd want a tad more restriction with less preload.

Just wait... when you have you first "Oh Shit" moment nose diving into something at a high rate of speed and the front doesn't bottom out, like you're expecting it to... It's surprising, and makes you happy with the choice you made!

Studies have shown that Screws do have it tougher suspension-wise. Love the adjustability of these ICONS, and it should help level the playing Screw/Scab playing field somewhat. I'm just glad you biatches are finally getting on board in this 3.0 world. Scab or Screw get 'em on - jump around out there, catch some good air, and post it up for us to all enjoy already haha! You won't believe how much better the 3.0 landings are. Beautiful writeup Greg! But watch out! Some of these grateful guys are going to want to kiss ya....

A little update...

After driving around and adjusting the ICON shocks for the best (stock) on road settings.

I was starting to get frustrated because the rear was rebounding bad, no matter how I adjusted the ICON shocks.. Then in a ah ha moment I realized the aftermarket bump stops were only 1.5" to 2" above axle. So the axle would come into contact with the bump stops during normal driving and not allowing the ICON shocks to dampen the axle.
So I check the pressure in the bumps and there was 150 psi in them.. So i lowered the pressure enough to allow them to be compressed and the piston to be moved up and out of the way.
When I went for a test drive, it was amazing.. No more wild uncontrolled rebounding, no more thumps going down the road.
So for right now I am leaving them like this until another solution is available..
