I appreciate the information and help! At no point was I bashing, criticizing, or anything else. I am sorry if it was taken in that way.

I know you weren't, no worries at all. I just want to make sure you get the truck working the way you want it.

So here is the good news. I just measured Brian Stoners truck from center hub to fender like you did and came up with 26.75 inches. His truck is a SCAB with empty bed and about 1/2 tank of gas right now. He has the Standard duty rear springs that were arched to stock ride height and have seen multiple hundred plus mile trips in the dirt.

I also measured our truck with new prototype spring and the ride height came out to be 26.25" from center hub to the lip, these springs have about 2K miles on them of very hard offroad use.

By looking at these two numbers and comparing them with yours, we just need to add more ride height to your rear end. Your springs were installed at the lower 1.5" ride height and seem to have stayed about there plus or minus .5 inch.

Call me when you have time so we can coordinate the spring swap.

When in doubt add more rebound..

My lesson from this morning... After making numerous stops and adjustments.. Once bobble head motion stops and the rear feels like it is skipping over bumps. Then back off about two clicks.. My unscientific method.. Lol

It is official.. The springs on the black widow are sacked, there is no doubt about it. Leaf springs DO NOT look like a "W" when lightly loaded with 200 lbs in the bed.. Totally unacceptable!

At this point I will not and can not recommend RPG/standard national springs.

According to Jarrett SD -1.5 (since they were "1.5 inches under stock height") but the way they are sitting now, a rangers bed sits higher than mine... Lol

Mine looked the same way, the -1.5" can't hold the weight.

I was wondering why people would even get a tailgate step?

I've since replaced with stock height nationals. With probably 400 lbs in the bed, I was sitting higher than Greg. Also with 5 people in the truck on the snoball500, I'm just barely hitting the bumps. It's so much better.

Mine are +1 and seem to be holding up well so far. They've only been on for half a year, but I have beat on the truck a lot during that time. Always thought I might need to go HD or add air bumps after I load it up with bed cage and all the gear. With Stage 4+ and front height max'd, +1 is likely the minimum starting point imo. More for SCrews? Maybe air bumps (adjustable ride height and load capabilities)? HD if loading bed or trailering regularly. SD -1.5 is for stockers and street queens. Black Widow hasn't been "standard duty" since ya got her haha. Alternatives? Deavers have their well documented issues too.
