I was talking about the part which attaches to the underside of the frame. Be interesting to see what they looked like.

Big,
Nice write up. Perhaps now people can see why spacer lifts are not good. I tried to preach that from day one. Your shocks are rebuildable. There are also a couple of sets on ebay for reasonable money. Your CV boots that appear to be cracking are not. That is a mold release agent used to get the rubber out of the mold. The binding though does appear to have started one to leak. Assuming you plan to get your truck on a frame rack and straighten it? Curious to see how far out it really is.

Do you happen to have the part numbers to the bolts on the front shocks?
Someone please triple check me, but I'm fairly certain its this:

AL3Z18A099A "Front Suspension Shock Mount With SVT Raptor"

Really baby your truck don't ya? I did much worse in 10k miles :D
LOL well yes and no. Like I said, I have several thousand off road miles on 'er. Lots of washboards at various speeds, whoops, gravel roads, granite rocks, sand, some snow... I don't blast thru everything at 100mph, nor do I fly 'er thru the air. But I do take 'er out and use 'er. I wouldn't call that babying, but I wouldn't call it abuse either ;)

Assuming you plan to get your truck on a frame rack and straighten it? Curious to see how far out it really is.
Aye I'd be curious too, but no I do not plan to go that route. I am happy with how the RPG frame supports brought the obvious stuff back in line (the gap between the cab and bed, and the daylight near/under the factory bumpstop area). I'm also happy with how this kit will prevent any further bending. So while I agree it would be interesting to see and know, I don't see a benefit to spending even more $$$ on this issue. Unless I'm missing something?

40k miles is out of warranty and his spring spacers clearly caused a number of the issues.

Yeah specially since there's a tsb warning techs not to warranty suspension parts on F150's with spring spacers. Although some dealers/techs will "over look" that kinda stuff. BigJ probably could have got a rear shock out of em though (if he was still in warranty).

Nice write-up.... Sorry about your findings. Welcome to ever-growing frame-fixin, suspension spending, Raptor club.

I know that most street drivers out there won't have a thing to worry about when it comes to the frame. But as you said BigJ, you've had a handful of steering wheel on occasion (pucker factor) and apparently that's about all it takes to bend it.

Kudos on the RPG install write-up.... Is the RPG shop in LA?
