How long of a drive was this for you? 6 hours? Did you stay overnight at the Comfort Inn? I maybe doing this same trip in the near future.I met Corey of RPG at RaptorAddict's shop. RaptorAddict (Kirk) is an authorized RPG installer, and they took this opportunity to brush up on some install techniques and tips. His shop is located in Chatsworth (Corey and bstoner59 came two hours north to meet me as I came south from San Jose, CA. Very cool and time saving gesture!)
I'm not sure yet PA. My wallet is still smoldering from the last round of mods. I probably should have known better, but honestly I wasn't expecting to need to fix these sorts of things for a long, long time.
I did it in one day. I got up at 2am, out by 3am and made it to Chatsworth around 730am. We got to work around 8am, were done by 1pm or so, had a great lunch across the street (Chicken Mole FTW!! ), I was on the road around 330pm and home by around 8pm. It was a long, long day but so worth it .How long of a drive was this for you? 6 hours? Did you stay overnight at the Comfort Inn? I maybe doing this same trip in the near future.
Thanks PA. I'll check into it.PHP:
Yeah these shocks aren't holding up as long as ford claimed they would. Maybe see if someone local can rebuild it, that shouldn't cost too much I wouldn't think.

Awesome! Will do. Its been too long DanWhat's the name of RA's shop?
Next time you're in my backyard in Chatsworth, etc., send me a text or email and I'll meet you and buy you lunch.
If you're like me (aka a relative newbie at most of this off road stuff), you've never heard what a blown shock sounds like. I grabbed this vid tonite to at least try and give a sense of it. There's a much deeper base note that goes with the clicking you can hear in the vid. Its that clicking (clunking?) you can really hear and feel when in the cab. Hopefully your speakers can reproduce it for you.
