I can't even begin to remember if this has been covered in this thread, but what about going with a used Raptor? Might save you a bit of coin if you're worried about that. As for the $64k...I didn't realize you were in the land of maple syrup and expensive Raptors...that explains it.

You consider seeing if Randy could hook you up with something?

This all boils down to what you want. I think we can all say that none of us NEED a Raptor. Right? We are buying the raptor because we all fell in love with this truck and it's bad ass qualities right out of the box. For me I need to love what I bought and be happy everyday when I get in it and be happy every time I cut that check each month knowing I am stoked with my purchase. If you need to justify the raptor purchase maybe it isn't the truck for you. Let's face it you are not buying a half ton truck to tow a big fifth wheel. The 5.5' bed will haul almost everything you want, so you won't be able to close the tailgate sometimes. Big deal, that's why you carry tiedowns. It's still more than capable of towing your boat to the lake or a reasonable size toy hauler. But if you are perfectly happy having a typical 4x4 with a lift, big tires an 8' bed and Eco boost buy that and be happy. I think as it was said on the first page of this post " if you need to ask you wouldn't understand". Then again maybe you just have a nagging wife in your ear.....why do you need that.. Lol

I love threads like this. The obvious answer is that the Raptor is as much a truck as it is a state of mind: The styling is undeniably awesome and the fact that it's a Ford only adds to its coolness factor (which is pretty much off the charts).
Raptor - 1
Rest of world - 0

Who is Randy? from the trailer park boys??

I'm going to buy the truck in Maine, but when I bring it back I will pay 13% tax to register it... plus charges at the border... and the gas guzzler tax..

so 55000 + tax = 62 150 + border + guzzler tax will be roughly 64 - 65 000...

I don't want a used Raptor.

Randy is the Ford Pro on here who is getting guys trucks for about as cheap as it's possible to get them anywhere. If you look over on the advertisement bar to the right you'll see one that says "Randy Ford Professional" He specializes in Raptors and could probably get it for you cheaper than anyone else, but i don't know if that's an option for you since you live in Canada.

I don't think you can buy a new truck in the states to import to Canada. I needs to be registered down here first, which means you need plates first. Sorry man, you have to buy used or Canadian.

That's not what I have been told by the proper authority.

I sent Randy a message, hopefully he can help!
Thanks.

Motor breath bringing them up to Canada is easy and cheap and warranty is no issue. Pm me if you need a hand I bought mine from Randy and saved a shitload over buying it in Canada

Bullishone they do not have to be registered down there first it's a very easy process to bring them up here and I've had no issues other than an extra $17k in my pocket
