Shit.......And you're going to verify whose truck it is and how it happened by doing what? Let's just say he didn't already say that he didn't know why it failed, how are you going to base a decision off of whose truck it was and how it happened when you can't really prove how it failed....unless you plan on doing testing and really know how to prove what caused the failure- I'm sure it's not something an individual can show exactly.
You can't. So you can keep asking for more details---- What did the guy eat for breakfast? How did he sleep that night? Marital issues? Besides everyone agrees they all work, some agree that they can fail too.
I think Vanilla_Gorilla said it pretty well.
And the picture is what it is.
I think this thread has turned a corner and has become very helpful. YEs, failures happen, for various reasons. Yes, an aftermarket bump stop kit is helpful. Yes, pick one, don't think you can really go too wrong...and even with a bump stop kit, drive within the limits of the truck...and better yet, your talent level....but most of all, lets go get dirty, have some fun and lets keep posting our experiences, good, bad, and ugly...
I went with the ford bumpstop kit. I got it from the dealership.
I heard that one fails pretty often

Lol
Give it a month Bar. That is if you want another option with some new features.
That being said, I think most of the alternatives will suit all of us just fine.
