Congrats bud. Image isn't coming through. Just about what I'm going to order - minus the factory bedliner

Don't come in here and be an smarta%% to people you don't know.

See your original post. You said you had an order. You didn't explain. My comments weren't necessary directly towards you.

My apologies if my comments made you have to change your tampon.

I just give back what I get...you were pretty confident you knew exactly what was going on, so I simply clarified for you.

I do have an order. And I'll get confirmation of it when my dealer has it officially accepted by Ford (TBD). My dealer and I have a long standing relationship and I fully trust him, and he has never let me down or lied to me, so I am all good.

Oh and I am summers eve fresh...

Imgur sucks. Sorry. Been a long time since I've been active on the forums. Couldn't access my imageshack account anymore.

It's a "vehicle order confirmation"

Take it FWIW but I just received the DORA order confirmation from my dealer. My uncle is the salesman that I'm working with and he has sent me email with order sheet showing confirmation. Not sure if it really is in or not but this is the first I've heard of anyone receiving a DORA from Ford.

Not sure how to attach DORA with my iPhone. Anyone know how?

I have a good friend that owns a small-town dealership that I have given my options list to and he has given me a price. The order has either been keyed in as pending or will be keyed in when the orders open. I have faith in my dealer as he is a family friend and he is not the kind of guy to blow smoke up someone's butt. I don't need proof because I trust my friend, so I will not badger him for some screen shot that I don't need.

edited to add - no deposit given for this order

This is the way it should go^.

Deposits given to dealers to simply key in a wish list are not fair and good business practice. I asked my dealer, also a good friend, if I was going to do wish list order for me if he would need a deposit. Keep in mind, this is a Ford dealer that is part of a HUGE multi-line dealership owner. He said no way. Why in the world would he take money for an order that hasn't even been accepted by Ford yet?

Now, when the order is actually accepted by Ford, he said that some dealers may want a deposit to insure that the buyer is still serious so they don't get stuck with a truck on the lot without a buyer. But he said that these Raptors, regardless of options ordered, sell immediately when they hit the lot anyway. So, he said that he probably wouldn't even ask for a deposit when the order is accepted.

Placing a deposit when simply submitting a request for a particular package is common practice but it is not necessary to do so. If you really pressure them to do a pre-order without placing a deposit down, they should do it. If not, then IMO, run......

I've got a DORA too. A DORA isn't confirmation of the order however. Went through all of this with the GT350's. A lot of guys got DORAs and no car because the dealer didn't actually have an allocation

Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure either. I do know that I'm first in line with this dealer and they are the largest in my state and also probably the south east. We will see...
