LMAO!...

My thoughts exactly.

I have to admit, I did sit in the new silverado and dodge products. You have to admit, its like Ford/Dodge/GM got together and said only, we all can't be good, we have to have something that sucks lol. The GM is probably the slowest but looks very luxurious. The Dodge has the desiel cummings and the Ford has the Raptor as the best looking truck on the market.

I have had my 2018 for 18 months and just under 12K miles. It has *many* mods to all aspects of the truck and I have had zero issues with the items outlined by the OP and many others who have piled on in this thread. I have also owned all three of the American pickup trucks over the years and I have to say, my original Gen 1 and Gen 2 Raptors have been the best out of all of them BY FAR! (not even close in any regard...)

Good luck with your decision, as it is yours alone to make. :)

Well it breaks my heart to say it but I am trading the raptor in for a Ram Rebel. The raptor was my dream truck and when I finally got one 2 years ago I was so excited but over the past 40k miles I have had constant transmission issues that has required taking it to the dealer for work time after time. Every time I take it they say they have it fixed but it never truly gets fixed. I know all trucks are gonna have faults but the thought of having to come out of pocket for a transmission once the warranty is up isn’t worth it.

I don’t ever go off-road, I just like the look and stance of an off-road truck. I also like the idea of being able to tow more with the Rebel. Hopefully I won’t have constant mechanical issues like I did with the raptor.

Checked Consumers Report’s reliability rating - the Ram (didn’t have the Rebel) rated 1 out of 5 on their scale. Both for 2019 and 2020. Everything else like ride, handling, noise and comfort it was rated very highly.

118,000 miles on my 2013. Other than tires and crakes, replaced sunroof switch only! Its been a fantastic truck. Plan running for much longer.

.

Trade it on a new Raptor instead? 2 totally different trucks Rebel and Raptor. Ford dealing on Raptors now too especially 2019's. Yea, there have been some lemon Gen 2 Raptors but all brands have those. I have a 2017 SCREW 802A Tech with no problems so far.

A new Rebel got cocky with me at the signal light. So at the next light I put mine in Sport mode and punched it on green light. Raptor screeched out and chirped tires to 2nd and 3rd. I could hear the Rebel driver's chin hit the floor when I was 4 car lengths ahead. No comparison!

You will not be happy with a Fiat Rebel unless you really lower your expectations. Sorry. They have their share of problems too like severely leaking sunroofs. With a 5.7 your MPG going to be around 10mpg.

Good luck, we will miss you. You are welcome back to FRF anytime.

Aloha, HT

If one digs deep enough, one will sooner or later dig up "crap" on anything. Good grief, enjoy your Raptor and quite worrying about it. The % of "non issue" Raptors compared to the Raptors that have multiple problems is heavily in the favor of the non issue trucks.

Not what I wanna do but I am seriously tired of constant clunking and slamming into gear or shifts that sound like the transfer case is gonna fall out the bottom of the truck.
I dont blame you. The Rebel is a solid truck and if you dont offroad that is all you need.

Hell I don't offroad...who really does in here? That mess cost too much.. lol.

I like a good looking vehicle, that is why I bought the raptor and it sounds ridiclous in the morning on a cold start with my exhaust.

I love that TURDBRO noise, *Whistlesssss*.
