Look I get what your saying. A co-worker has a 2011 Ecoboost that has been modified to the exact components from a Gears TV show "https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xkqDDxsiCLE" that I turned him on to. He runs 35's on his stock 18" rims and can smoke me head to head on the street. But off road, not really a competition, sorry but that's just the way it is. We leave work at the same time, and when he remote starts his and I remote start mine....well there is just no comparison on that note. What I don't get is that by putting the key to my chin I can remote start mine much, much further than if I don't but that's a different discussion for another time. Look, he loves his truck and I love my truck. I don't bash him, and vice versa. Point is we all have tastes', which one at this point is trivial when you really think about it. I'm digging the 2017, but I've been a die hard V8 guy for a long time and that's not going to change. Everyone has a taste, an opinion, a reason they choose a certain thing. I don't knock my buddy because he has a V6 or that its just a FX4, I embrace it because at when it's all said and done be both have awesome trucks. Mines just more awesomer in my opinion, LOL

I let an engine guy explain why but our current v8's don't have the lower, deeper exhaust note through a broad range that the older v8's had. Engine compression and ??.

Your body acts as an antenna extending the range of the remote.

In my opinion, the only valid reason for complaining about the V6 is indeed the exhaust tone. That will be missed no doubt.....you can't really fake that.

Once again, I will refer everyone to the thread title before you pass anymore judgment. That is simply my $.02.
