I hear you. Would there really need to be a redevelopment? Did people really witch and moan about the 6.2? I think an idea Ford should consider is possibly making an announcement that the 2017 Raptor will be the last of the V8 Optional Equipment. They could almost incorporate it into an SE Model for 2017. Other than that, the thought of 3.5 badging just doesn't seem to fit the "American Icon" mode. I guess only time will tell on this one.

I've had mixed feelings about the engine choice. My first reaction was similar to yours. I love the 8 sound, rumble, power, and presences but I'll be flying around in a turbo jet sounding 2017 making all the power I need and then some.

Just the small poll on this forum proves the entire point. Voting with the wallet is one thing, Ford listening is another.

During the Car and Driver QandA I dropped the link to the poll and asked Ford if they saw it. They didn't answer, but they have seen it now. Seeing the stupid questions most people asked, it's no wonder they are going they way they are. Will it have a back, seat my kids want to know. Will it have a moonroof? How have you marketed this toward women?

That's the type of ******** that people wanted to know. We are the minority, just go on Facebook to the Raptor owners groups and 99% are ****** street queens giving us a bad name.

So I have to assume that Ford will not have an F150 in 2017 with anything larger than a V6 and if so just wondering when the 5.0 that is currently offered in the trucks will be dropped.

Viper is an over priced 2 seater, since someone changed the subject to Dodge you can get a Power Wagon or 2500 with the 6.4L. Dodge is also selling more Hellcats then they can produce and a Jeep Hellcat is on the way!
