So what is the estimated weight difference between a twin turbo v6 with a hybrid assist and a supercharged V8?

I bet the difference isn’t that extreme.

Unfortunately no, and by the time it got to me who knows how accurate it would be.

Until I see an official "V8 IS ON THE WAY!" from Ford I would remain skeptical.

I do remember back in 2008 (ish?) they were working there and said a new truck was coming "with more suspension but not lifted".
Do you remember when the raptor "R" was debuted in 2009 and it never went into production. Ford initially listed it at 100k

If I'm not mistaken that was supposed to be a test platform for a bunch of "factory aftermarket" parts that just kind of never materialized.
I can't find the picture of it on the internet anywhere, but I remember it well, its what sold me on the raptor. It was white with a graphics package and offroad lights behind the roof in the box.

The first time I saw one in person I knew I had to have one. It was a Blue SCAB 5.4 but it was killer. This was early to mid 2009, it would have had to have been since it was before my first deployment. I think I remember the one you're talking about, it had a different graphics package.

I work 7 days a week as a carpenter/remodeled supporting my family. I do it all from drywall, window replacement but most interior finish carpentry. The raptor has always been my dream. I’m thankful for this news today that the blue oval will keep my dreams alive and keep making the raptor. Someday I will have one, until then I’ll drive my clapped out suv so my family can eat good, have what they need and live in a nice part of town.

thank you ford!!!

btw the all the TRX fanboys need to leave the forum, maybe they should join a forum dealing with automotive electronic repair and technical service bulletins because that’s all dodge is known for!! Flame on!!

So if this were to happen with the 5.2 v8, what trans would be behind it? Dual clutch? I like the raptor R name too if it were to actually happen. I'm thinking it probably wouldn't be a daily driver either.

The Ram is too heavy 700 + pounds heavier and it runs out of gas within a few hundred miles, where you gunna go in that thing? lol all that extra and it's only getting 560whp. A tuned or upgraded turbos on a S-Cab will walk allover that thing.

Limited edition S/C V8 sounds good. I'll stick with my 10 SCAB 6.2. Even $50k sounds expensive for a truck. Don't forget about Tesla and Rivian coming out with 750+ hp trucks and 3sec 0-60 times with lower pricing than the Raptor.
