Air bag light

I put a new aftermarket head unit in my 2018 Ford raptor ever since I put it in when somebody sits in the passenger seat my airbag light comes on in the dash, so I took it to the Ford dealer because I already have an extended warranty they checked it out and said that it’s not talking to the airbag module and they said because I changed the head unit out. This is what’s causing it for some reason this doesn’t make sense to me, but they said it went through the stock head unit when I talk to the module now that the head unit is not there it can’t do that any help would be great Thanks Lou.

ou have to use a data module when replacing the radio. generally maestro is the best unit, most expensive also, however pac audio and metra also make one
