If you are looking for ride comfort, a General Grabber Red Label is not the answer. There is will be road noise and they are still an E rated tire. While this is a great off road tire, they will not give you the comfy plush ride you are after. The best on-road ride, I would recommend BFG All Terrains, deaver rear springs, and some serious weight in the bed. Like others have said, it is still a truck. Trucks were designed to have weight in the bed.

I agree...a nice bed rack/cage works great in the bed!

Ok thanks, as well i have seen none of the pre runners use 18 size wheels, kmc enduro beadlocks max size is 17
The raptor xr us 17 for a 37" tires.

As well none of the pre runnea use negative offsets, the f150 from ultimated advetures use it.

Same here, 2012 screw new out of the box, I feel everything its jarring at times, love the truck, going to have service look at it. There is some shake in the wheel, go over pavers in intersection and there is the sensation of the truck cab rolling backward. I test drove a scab last year and it was soft like a boat. Thoughts?

One other thing is I see the bed flexing and hopping in the rear view in town

Rough ride on the road

Hey guys, I have the same experience/problem.
I picked up my 2012 SuperCrew three weeks ago (Aug. 2012).

I was soo excited to get in it and feel the bliss of that on-road smoothness that everybody is raving about. I have to say I'm quite disappointed in that regard. I do love everything else about this truck, but this on-road roughness really buggs me. Driving down the road, I feel EVERY minor imperfection. Unless the road is perfectly smooth, there is constant slight jitter.
And stuff like potholes, manhole covers that aren't flush, patches - that stuff makes the truck shutter, especially the rear... "bah-boom!"
My wife's '01 Passat is much, much smoother driving over any of that stuff.
I'm running the stock 44psi tire pressure. All stock, no mods.

It drives me nuts hearing everybody how much they love the cushy and smooth ride on pavement. I was looking forward to that sooo much, after spending 10 years in my herky-jerky '02 Frontier.

Could it be that there is something wrong with brad new suspension?
I would love to be able see and "feel" someone else's Raptor for comparison. And also have them drive mine to see what they think.
If anybody lives nearby, it would be awesome if we could get together and exchange feedback. I'm in Lawrence NJ, south/central NJ, between Princeton and Trenton.

I really hope I can get this resolved.
Any ideas? Observations? Suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

eugene, maybe check your tire pressures to make sure they aren't over-inflated. It's still a truck though. It rides better than other trucks, but it still might not keep up with some cars for on-road smoothness.

I did notice with mine after a few k miles everything softened up a bit. Give the truck a little time to break in and adjust your tire pressures to the best tread pattern. (aka the chalk test). I run about 40psi in mine

I'm running the recommended 44psi. I'd hate to air it down to soften the ride, 'cause it'll chew up the tires lot faster.
