Has anyone had their tire gate stolen? It's worth less than the stock gate but just curious.

I've got pop and lock so it locks my tailgate with my doors, master lock, and a Pace Edwards bed cover. Hopefully all this makes it a lot more difficult to steal my tailgate.

Sorry James, about your loss. We all wish the ****** would die a slow and very painful death, as we all put in numerous hours of our lives to buy this trucks. (If only we could lawfully use deadly force to defend property here in The Peoples Republic)

The first thing I was told by my salesman was to always lock the gate. And thanks to FRF I already knew the reason why he said that. As for me I'm using the mcgard lock and the Roll-X tonneau cover. Hopefully that will be enough to dissuade any perps from taking my "hard spent time" away from me.

I didn't lock my tailgate, masterlocks description sounded so good...that's why I bought it. I use my tailgate all day and I usually lock it a night but your bound to forget a couple times.

According to my insurance they can easily punch the stock lock and take it to. I am surprised at the cost if the tailgate and how few thefts there are.

The tire gate would take forever to unbolt and trying to carry with a tire I would hope it would be less valuable to thief's

Question now is who are these people and will the come back...I can't hide in fear forever, I need to carry my spare tire but I guarantee a rope lock would get cut in a heartbeat....

What to do in my shoes?

Well it's time to start locking the tailgate. Really interested how they popped the masterlock.
