Lol Noah, good idea there. Highly illegal but a lot of good ideas are. Think I will stick to legitimate sources for now.

Joe, that is a good idea as well if I purchase a replacement stock set. Not sure yet which way to go. I think it is about time for me to bite the bullet and upgrade. Maybe my dealer will still work out something with the stock shock. I will talk to them before making a final decision.

By the way Joe can I still hang out with the cool kids if I have a different brand shocks on the truck? No decision made but I am looking at all three companies products.

Labraptor if he won't let you hang out I don't discriminate since right now I'm considering other shocks too.

Tokico!!! Maybe some Sears HD's would work. If you go aftermarket what will you get? I think the Icon stuff is best for my needs in the midwest.

In all honesty I still don't know. Looking at Icon, King and Fox still. There are strong opinions about all of them. I believe there are also a lot of good reasons to buy any of them. Maybe I have done too much research, lol. About time to just pick one and go with it. :wizhuh:

Entire assembly and service manager doesn't want to do just one. He has "concerns" about the other side. Since it isn't showing fluid loss Ford insists on only doing one under warranty.

I have an offer for an almost new set for much less than they want for one. If I decide to stay stock that is the way I will probably go.

Kind of wondering how much I should limit driving it until fixed. On road only for sure until fixed. Illinois roads suck so even on road isn't smooth sailing.

And thanks Ironman, if I go that way I will let you know.

Mark,

Get ahold of me. I have my stock shocks that I'm keeping but would be happy to let you use them until you get this all figured out if you'd like. I won't use them except when I send my icons in for service every couple years.

And this is why I love the Raptor community. Always willing to help somebody out and never expecting anything in return.

Awesome offer I really appreciate it man. Got a phone call at 4:45 this afternoon that proves FRF community has influence and also means I won't need to take you up on this generous offer. Dealer called and said they had no idea what happened or why but a shock showed up today with my name on it. They are doing the warranty install Thursday. Will make my truck ride better while I wait for new suspension to replace it.

Big shout out of thanks to Crystal aka FordService for spotting my thread and reaching out to me. The regional customer service rep that she had contact me apparently really was able to expedite finding a shock for me. I have to give it to Ford that when you find the right people they will help out. Finding those people isn't always easy but at least they employ a good number of them unlike some companies.
