I had previously searched for that and came up with a few threads, as I mentioned though most things regarding the driveshaft I found said it needed to be greased, which doesn't make sense. Either that or it referred to the front driveshaft and other types of issues.

However this coming weekend I plan to tear open rear diff ans also drain and refill transfer case (and hopefully I can get a new seal to put in too) and we'll see if any of that makes a difference.

We'll see.

Just bring it in to a dealer with the tsb in hand. You should be under the factory drivetrain warranty, right? The "Clunk" thread in the General section has info. It's a Sticky discussion on the top. The first post by Socomech explains what it is. Worth a shot.

Do you know anyone who may have a "helper spring"?

They are placed above the leaf spring for carrying extra weight.

But, they also take care of or help prevent axle wrap.

Takes about 20 minutes to put on "Supersprings"
Easy On and easy Off - just to see if the noise disappears.

i have this same problem with my truck, sounds the same and from what you describe it "feels" the same. I plan on taking mine into the dealership next week. I have a feeling its going to be the calipers are holding for to long.

I will admit when I'm wrong. I was sure it was the springs. I will add detailed information later, but the noise itself is gone after I lubed the driveshaft input shaft splines. Never would have suspected that in a million years. Now that I was so use to the noise along with the weight shift feeling, it is actually hard to tell if the feeling is still there now that the noise is gone. I believe it is gone too.

I will add detailed correct lube part numbers and lack of TSB info later.

Thanks, Stan

I have what seems to be this same issue. Any updates on whether the lube worked? And if that was the issue?

Odd sound but seems like it could be the leaf springs. They could possibly just be worn out

The grease did quiet mine down... for a little while. The "feel" has always been there and never left. I never did anything else and it still to this day has the sloppiness feel and the sound is back. I have the grease part number I can add to the thread later if you'd like.
I'll be doing some work on the truck over the next week or two and while I'm under there I will recheck all bolts again just for the hell of it.
