I'm looking at the +2HDs and keep finding the same. Either it's too harsh or they notice no difference. I'm torn because it will be empty most of the time, but hauling a travel trailer on occasion.
If you are not taking it off road much you might want air bags and inflate when needed.

You got +3hd?, please let me know your opinion with no load.

Yep and they are on backorder for about 4-5 weeks. Take into account shipping too, he waited a month but seems the carrier messed that up.
We sell Deavers at FRF member discounts and everyone that has purchased HD's like the outcome. I personally purchased +4HD's for mine but also did the RPG billet +2" shackles and RPG bump stop. I am more concerned about the ride and stability when off-roading vs the negligible effects when on pavement. The stock rear-end on the GEN2 is worse than the stock rear-end on the GEN1 so it definitely needs to be upgraded.

i have Eibach in the front and just added the SVC fox bumps and Deaver +3HD kit. I am a little disappointed in the empty ride but what do you expect with HD's with no weight. It isn't horrible but it rides like a stock 4x4 F150. When i am loaded for a desert run I will be about 360lbs so i can let you know Monday. As of now I probably should have gone with the standard spring. Seem the "up to 300lbs" would have given an all around good ride.

So this last weekend was epic. Truck is still a little harsh but loaded with the +3hd the rear was actually pretty nice. SVC bump kit works really well. Empty isn’t as bad now that I beat the shit out the Deavers. Climbing sand dunes with out the wheel hop is definitely a plus. Guess they needed to break in a bit.

Hey all, new to the forum. I recently purchased a 2017 gen 2 raptor. The truck came equiped with deavers l84HD+3's. I must say even during the test drive, I noticed the stiffness. This was obvious on subtle roads or uneven surfaces. I didn't know what to think as I've never driven a gen 2 raptor previously. I just assumed the truck had a stiff ride. Truck is extra clean with low miles. The bed is mostly empty and the only thing I haul is a three passenger sea-doo. It does seem to ride better with a little weight as others have suggested. I was fortunate enough to get in touch with the original owner who's been very helpful. So helpful in fact he gave me the original leafs, and blocks. I ride mostly with the bed empty. The other day my 8 year old said, dad its bumpy back here. The original owner did have a good size boat, and explained the truck was his 2nd vehicle, which is why I'm assuming he went with the HD+3. I've Driven a few trucks during my time, and what I can compare it to is how a dually rides, or a lifted truck. I can't comment on the plus 2's non-hd variant. My opinion is on the +3HD's. Im considering reinstalling the original blocks and leafs. I'll make sure to reply back to this thread with my findings.

Have you driven one with stock springs? I'd do that before I spent a bunch of money. It might not be worth it. The block in the back makes the rear end hop around annoyingly in certain situations, so even if the ride is better you could be trading one annoyance for another. I'd call Deaver. Maybe you can take one of the leafs out and improve the ride that way. Asking is cheap.

For what it’s worth I run with the bed having about 150 pounds in it 90-95% of the time the other 5-10% it would be hauling stuff around or the boats back and forth to storage from the slips. I run Deaver +3 and I love them. But it’s up to what you have weight wise in the bed most of the time. The Deavers run grate and as other have stated takes the wheel hop out, only draw back is the rust that I’m having to treat. If I was doing it again I would order directly from Deaver and have the leafs powder coated. Good luck with your build.

Deaver no longer does powder coating, its been a couple years. They had to outsource that and tended to by unreliable plus powdercoat will tend to crack over time, trapping moisture. If you want them powdercoated regardless, Deavers will ship them with an extra set of center pins (cost) or loose so you can powdercoat them yourself. Or you can take apart the ones you have now, sandblast and powdercoat. We typically sell them with AMSOIL HDMP.

AMSOIL HDMP is what I’ve been using and seems to work pretty well. I did not know they were outsourcing the powder coating and had discontinued that option. Thanks for the update.
