I want to bring this thread back to life. Anybody else running +3 HD deavers unloaded have a opinion on harsh ride? Offroad manners, like you get into the spring deep and it bucks? I tow heavy but not that often.

i have Eibach in the front and just added the SVC fox bumps and Deaver +3HD kit. I am a little disappointed in the empty ride but what do you expect with HD's with no weight. It isn't horrible but it rides like a stock 4x4 F150. When i am loaded for a desert run I will be about 360lbs so i can let you know Monday. As of now I probably should have gone with the standard spring. Seem the "up to 300lbs" would have given an all around good ride.

Had them on my last truck with only the spare in the bed and it wasn't much different then stock. Def not harsh. More like sport stiff..

I'm looking at the +2HDs and keep finding the same. Either it's too harsh or they notice no difference. I'm torn because it will be empty most of the time, but hauling a travel trailer on occasion.

That’s me , empty 99% of the time. , if you pull the trigger on the hd, let me know the unloaded ride.
I spoke to Deaver, and he told me the sd might drop 1” less than stock. I might go +3 sd. My trailer droops me 2 5/8”. So if I start off 1” higher, drop maybe, 1” less, I’ll only be about 5/8” lower in back, and I would be ok with that. Hate to drop $1600 to Either be too stiff, or make no difference.

When I spoke to Deaver, I stated I carry a snowmobile in the back 12 times a year, few other occasions have it loaded, but besides that it has a tonneau and that’s it. They recommended HD’s. So that’s what are sitting in my garage. I was going to go eibachs in the front but now I’m thinking I may just drop shackle the back.

And there are people who say that a difference of 2psi in the tires makes a noticeable difference in the ride. Not me. Princess and the pea, maybe.
