I just got mine installed this week with Eibach, up front. The fact that my front end is up is far more noticeable to me than stiffness of the springs.

I have the Eibachs on the shelf & had been going back & forth on installing em since January......main reason being what to do out back. I don't tow alot but do have a tonneu cover probably adds 50 lbs & 70 lbs in a swingcase toolbox + random small box, & I do tow a jet ski & utility trailer regularly in summer (neither of which are heavy) - I just would like a lil more ground clearance & love the look of a Raptor w/ a lil more height but still a nice rake......my last truck was a GMC I added a 1.25" taller rear blocks + bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks all around w/ the fronts @ highest setting which also equate to "stiffest" - I like the Raptor ride stock, but can't see me disliking it if its firmed up some either

I keep getting the feeling the +3 HD's may be the way to go....cuz it sounds like even if you DONT tow/haul heavy often, it only takes 1-2 big ones to cause the springs to sag....

I tow a 19’ aluminum fishing boat (about 3000# all in) and fill the truck bed with goodies for a week a couple times a year. I’m hoping the HD’s help with not only the sag, but the floating feeling.

Front end, I notice the steering wheel is a bit tighter at the outer extents.

Really happy, so far.

We have sold a lot of HD's lately and not one single complaint from any customers, even with a bed with not a whole lot of weight. There is absolutely no difference between the SD +2 and +3 as far as material, just the amount of the arch is the only difference. The amount of load for each one is the same. If you are carrying around 300lbs or less, get the SD's.

The HD's have some thicker leafs but also the difference between a +2 and +3 on an HD is the same material grading all the way through, its just the amount of the arch. We recommend the HD's if you plan on carrying more than 300lbs on a constant basis. For folks who want to go beyond 500lbs, we can get them custom made to accommodate that (up to a point). Custom orders typically take 4-6 weeks.

We usually keep stock of the SD and the HD's on the GEN2 since those are popular right now and have sold quite a bit this year. Currently during our sale this month, we ran out of stock and the SD's are going to take about 2 weeks before we get stock again, so please take advantage of our sale now to get a great deal and get on the list.

I have a Retrax Pro XR and Yakima Overhaul HD setup, plus I usually have a cooler, bed divider and misc. crap in the bed. 60% of the time, I'm also playing Uber for the wife and kid. Do I "qualify" for +3HD's or just +3?

Any idea of the total weight? Misc crap can mean a lot of different things to different people.

I've probably got 200-300lbs in the bed at all times.

dude you’re like me & im leaning toward +3HDs too...seems like I haven’t found ONE review/complaint of someone stating “I wish I went w/ the standards or +2s these are way too stiff blah blah”

Know what you WILL find though? “My +2s needed to be re-arched” or “I used +3s & they were fine but eventually sagged past level” etc.

I’d rather have the added capability & never need it OR have it & not need it now but wind up needing later due to upgrading to bigger boat or son gets his own quad now I got one in bed one on trailer etc

I'm researching now. On a Scab I'll be adding (at a minimum) 115# of tonneau cover, 50# of ARB fridge, whatever the SVC bump stop kit weighs, and possibly a second battery. Add in a hi lift jack and an off-road box with some basic gear and I'm probably pushing enough weight for HD from the sounds of things. Maybe the Scab weighing less makes up for some of the additional weight.

doubtful since the payload/tow rating is less for some reason

I’m thinking I need to ride in a truck that has these installed

I forgot the 40# of water that’s mandatory in the desert, so I’m probably looking at 365# all told, but much of that will be at the front of the bed. I was thinking about the payload issue and was wondering if there are different leaf packs in the Scab or if the rating was based on the wheelbase.
