I think these give you the best of both worlds, completely black when off and amber when on.

Recon has them but I have seen other companies selling them as well like CIPW? or something like that.

Thanks, l am giving them some serious thought. I think i want to see an after install picture.

I got them from Recons website on sale. Install took about 30 minutes after figuring out how to take the mirror off. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow

That would be interesting. Post up some pics and most importantly give us your opinion on them and how to install and wire.

FYI,

As an option to buying these replacement reflector delete pieces from Ford, I just wrapped mine in some CF film. Just about every Auto parts sells small rolls of film in various colors/varieties.

Took all of 15 minutes to do...

The trick was getting the mirror off. Once that was done I used 18 gauge wire splices to splice into the power and ground of the blinker that is already in the mirror. Product fit as advertised. I wanted to tap them into the running lights so that they were on anytime the parking lights were on but I don't think I could route the wires through the door in the factory location.

They look good! I wonder if you could tap into the wires for the LED's that are on the other side of the mirror, if you have that option.
