Loud noise like a metal spring

Hello together,

My brand new 24 R did a week ago a super wierd noise when i started the car early in the morning. But i was not really shure that this noise comes from the car. I first thought that it comes from a construction side that is close by.

Today again the sound was here. Just when the car started and when the car was „cold“. When i press the gas pedal the sound gets stronger. To me it sounds like a long metal spring that gets tension on it and that it grinds somewhere.

Anyone had the same issue?

2023 Raptor R ticking noise at bell housing

Had a ticking noise similar to wrench banging on exhaust pipe. Turned out to the starter gear not retracting and hitting the flex plate. 4,000 miles on the truck. replace starter and noise is gone. Just thought I would share.

I got my raptor back today. They couldnt locate the issue. And my video is not proof enough for them to exchange the starter motor…. Dont know what to do

Wasn’t there a problem with insulation falling down on the drive shaft a few years ago?

I would check all the accessories on both serpentine belts.

Hate to say it, but thats something you may have wanted to consider when buying a Ford in your current location. I certainly wouldn't buy a car where I had little to no dealership support.

If he only has 1 Ford dealer within four hours…what brand would you suspect has more support in his area?
