I don't necessarily think $70,000 vehicle when I think Ford either.

Both Ford and, judging by some comments, apparently many of their buyers seem relatively uneducated as to what else can be had at this level.

First, grammar isn't some kind of ******* joke.

**** man that gave me a chuckle. Thanks

Dragonfly the interior is definitely not bad in these trucks. The thing to consider is the engineers and designers had a lot of things to focus and spend their budget on besides only bringing the interior up a notch. So you will get a very well done Ford interior (assuming 802a) but the focus of the vehicle isn't meant to be a luxurious vehicle so it can't be compared to 60-70k luxury focused vehicles.

I came from a Limited to my Raptor. The limited interior is very nice IMO but the Raptor is very close honestly.

My other car is a Bronco so I guess I should just suck it up. Still at over $80,000 one would expect some level of refinement, perhaps.

I get it, feel the same way to a degree, but you're getting torqued up over a switch cover. Expensive or not, that could happen to any vehicle regardless of brand, type, or model. You're asking for a comparison against other trucks, but IMO a comparison isn't needed because without a doubt they all have their issues. People put these things together, they're not always going to be perfect. I know we expect them to be, but that's just unrealistic. It's a different story if the brand/dealer won't make it right, if it's not perfect.

I also get that you're making the point that if that one thing broke, what other shit could break or go wrong, and the answer is nothing should, in theory, but something could. There are lots of threads that point out the trucks faults. But go to the Chevy/GMC, Toyota, Ram, you name it forums and I'm sure there are the same kinds of threads about those vehicles.

My truck has given me zero problems. Am I lucky...compared to some, yeah but the vast majority of them don't have any issues.

**** off yourself big man.

FWIW, you're coming off as a troll man.

My .2cents.

forum life

I am newbie here but have a lot of screen time on 6speedonline and Nagtroc as my life has always revolved around all wheel drive turbo platforms for fun cars once I got all my kids through college and got a "raise".

The Raptor is a departure for me that I will use to haul some dirt bikes...but I am VERY excited about the product (2 neighbors already have them) and I have thoroughly enjoyed the forums for gathering good information and a LOT of different opinions. Although this forum does seem to have a bit more "edge" than the two mentioned above (see "grey poupon" comment for what I am used to in that regard lol), its all good and I have learned over the years to simply enjoy the back and forth while ignoring the baiting that inevitably comes from someone behind a keyboard (or that simply has a strong opinion which is fine too) and to just chuckle and move on. I am old so my approach to life is much like that nowadays. I do though appreciate strong opinions as well. CANNOT WAIT FOR THE TRUCK!! I figure any little quality quibbles will be dealt with by warranty and off we go. My first Turbo cost more than 2x what this truck does and it still had little quality issues...and my $100K GT-R...shit interior..total shit (they are better now). But it does happen no matter how foolish one is in terms of spending money -- quality can vary but I tend to focus on the overall appeal of something and am usually always satisfied that way. cheers !!

Your $80k gets you a lot of things that an $80k luxury car doesn't have/do.

If all you want is luxury and refinement, A Raptor isn't what you're looking for.

If I am spending upwards of $70k-$80k on a truck, I expect it to be built right. No shit I'm not buying a roller, im not buying a ******* train, and not buying a track car. Yes the raptor is a performance built truck which isn't marketed for being luxurious - doesn't ignore the fact it should be built correctly. Given I also wouldn't throw a fit about a piece of plastic falling off, he was just wondering if there is anything else he should be cautious about.

I'm not sure why you need a truck since you have that white horse to ride around on all day. You're quite the internet hero. I'm sorry I upset you. I did not realize you two were an "item".

Reminds me of the case of the Evo. All the resources went into drivetrain, motor, exterior, and not too much inside. Just Recaro seats and a few minor differences. Other than that it's a base Lancer on the inside. Same with the Raptor and the F150 regarding interior. It's a little nicer, but it's the same inside
