My other car is a Bronco so I guess I should just suck it up. Still at over $80,000 one would expect some level of refinement, perhaps.

I agree completely - you are buying $80k worth of newly engineered chassis, engine and suspension upgrades - the cab is the usual F150/F250 cab.
Drives me crazy - but i also have a Polaris RZR XP 1000 - now THAT is a piece of crap. All plastic and junk for $22k and a 6 month warranty!

I don't own a Raptor (yet) but I think what you experienced is an isolated incident. I only say this because I have an outlet on my Escape, I use it fairly regularly and the installation is solid. I can't imagine it would be any worse on an F150

I have owned a bunch of different car makers and brands over the past few years. When it comes to interior quality I'd have to say the Raptor is Mid to High Level of materials used. Its a catch 22 though - this is a truck something that should be used and banged up, kids crawling around, hauling stuff inside and outside of cab, getting muddy/dirty, etc...so you want nice interior features and materials, but not too nice that you get charged an arm and a leg to fix or replace.

Over engineered vehicles are expensive to fix when the little things go bad. That said, I rather drive my Raptor (my family too), than my wife's GLC43. And everyone loves to take the Hellcat Charger out anytime we can as a family, and that's a rental car with a big engine and leather seats.

Cost has to do with many factors, not just luxury and refinement.

This costs ~$100k. How much luxury and refinement do you think it has?

Your $80k gets you a lot of things that an $80k luxury car doesn't have/do.

If all you want is luxury and refinement, A Raptor isn't what you're looking for.
